Two opposed pairs of toothed rolling dies mounted on the sliding table move linearly in synchronization, driven by a combination of oil pressure and a servo motor through synchronous gears. Each die is precisely ground with a progressively penetrating tooth profile. The workpiece is supported between the front and rear centers, and its machining position can be easily adjusted using the displacement function of the centers. The relative motion of the dies rotates and gradually cold-forms the workpiece, which is discharged automatically after shaping. High spline accuracy and stability are achieved through the prefabricated rigid spacing of the toothed dies, completing chip-free forming within seconds.
